Why does Benz Network need to know the country of recording when my label owns (or has licensed) a track’s master rights?

Many performance rights organizations require us to declare the country where most of the recording sessions took place in order for us to collect royalties for a track. This is because the country of recording can impact their calculation of royalties owed to a rightsholder.
